Al Reem Island, or locally called Reem, is home of many affluent locals and posh expats. It’s a luxurious residential and business community hosting Marina Square, Al Maryah (technically separate), and Reem Island at large. Each of the towers include amenities that makes living here comfortable. There are a wealth of restaurants, banks, swimming pools, entertainment, facilities for children, and mosques. The skyline of stunning architecture greets visitors as they are heading in from Abu Dhabi City or the Port Expressway.
Hints of glam excite feelings of Kardashian-ism, thus congestion mounts as with tempers because commutes have increased due to limited accessibility to the Beverly Hills of Abu Dhabi.
Reem is not short on places to eat. Below are a few of the popular places in addition to the several hundred that service the area by app or phone orders.
Popular restaurants and services on Reem Island include:
- Mugg & Bean
- 800 Pizza
- La Brioche
- National Bank of Abu Dhabi
- Geant Grocery
- Librations and spirits store in Amaya Tower
- Burger Bureau
- The Smoking Doll
- Leopold’s of London
- a university
- endless fitness centers and swimming pools
As pictured, construction on Reem is on-going, the levels of conveniences increased, thus making it an ideal residential hub for those new to the land of sand and pearl, Abu Dhabi.
and that’s Reem Island though the lens of my iPhone 5 S.
